Calendula flower/Common Marigold

Calendula flower/Common Marigold

It's a fantastic companion plant for vegetable and fruit growers. It's beautiful, sterilizes the soil and seeds itself even on dry soils.

🐝Calendula is great for bringing in beneficial insects, therefore pollinating bees love it and really importantly hoverflies love it too.🐝

Hover flies are little flies that just sort of tend to dart about in the air their larvae they're

voraciously hungry and they eat aphids and black flies on lettuces, salad crops and brassicas those aphids will be kept at bay by hover fly larvae, that's why Calendula is a great plant to grow in your garden.

🧴It's also excellent skin healer

Calendula contains antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and astringent properties which make it ideal for burns, and it is thought to increase oxygen flow to wounds in order to speed up healing.
